I would like to commend Allen on his professionalism and the way he handled himself at my home on Saturday, March 24 and Monday, March 26. He told me from ... the beginning he was new to the job but would do his best to assess the problem and fix it. He worked diligently Saturday but could not ascertain what was causing the sewage backup. I felt sorry for him b/c he was trying so hard. He even called his supervisor who thought maybe we had a problem with our vent in the roof. Alan snaked the sewer line and jetted our vent and this still did not fix the problem. After much work he checked the man hole and found there was a problem with the flow. He then told me to call the City of Danville and let them know they had a problem. I am not in any way complaining about Allen and the work that was done but I think from now on Roto Rooter should check the sewage lines in the City of Danville before starting work. I tried to make this rating "5" but your survey would not allow me to change my rating from my earlier review. Anyway, after the struggle to get technicians ... to come to the home, Drew and Tye made it. We had an outstanding experience with these two professionals. It was like a treasure hunt trying to find the root of our sewage blockage, but they worked hard and into darkness, not just to find the problem, but to make the sewer work for a couple days. It will require further labor intensive work to replace the sewer exhaust line but they will start tomorrow at 8:30. I have already recommended Roto-Rooter to two other families needing assistance, but I recommended they remove all frustration by calling them during regular working hours. I couldn't, because of the state of the emergency, but using a telemarketing service will hurt their business
I have a rental house in 23834. Sometimes there is a problem with backflow into the bathtub, the toilet is stopped up. I call Roto-Rooter & they get the job ... done in a short time. They are great to work with.
